I'm a front end developer & visual designer at IBM Design, where I work on enterprise level software. I spend most of my time at work conducting user research, designing, coding prototypes, and iterating.
I'm also a design mentor at Bloc. I meet 1:1 with students weekly to work through concepts, pair program, and run design critiques.
I graduated from The Iron Yard's UI design program and have a degree in Communication Studies. While I come to design and development from a "non-traditional" background, my liberal arts education helps me immensely.
Design and front end development are a perfect outlet for my analytical brain and love of making and communication. I enjoy thinking critically and creatively about how to best solve problems for users and designing, testing, and coding the solutions.
When not in front of the computer, you can find me crafting, practicing the banjo, reading, hiking, or eating tacos.
"I want to be around people that do things. I don't want to be around people any more that judge or talk about what people do. I want to be around people who dream, and support, and do things." —Amy Poehler
